Drone racing events: what finished in 2026, what is still running, and what comes next.

These pages cover the FAI's World Championship, World Cup and World Games racing, MultiGP's championships, the Drone Champions League, the Drone Racing League and other international races. Every result carries its year, the body that ran it and the source it rests on, and a season still running has no winner named.

Drone racing has no single governing body. The FAI, the world air sports federation, runs the official F9U class with a World Championship and a World Cup, and it ran the drone racing at The World Games. MultiGP, the Drone Champions League (DCL), TEKNOFEST and others are organisers that run their own events under their own rules and give their own titles. These pages keep every body's events, rankings and titles apart. When an organiser calls its event a "World Cup" or its winner a "World Champion", that is the organiser's own title, not the FAI's.

The FAI's main site returned errors throughout the research for these pages, so FAI facts come from a 2025 copy of the FAI site, FAI reports and, for 2026, Chinese press and search-result summaries. Each page says what every result rests on: an FAI report, an organiser's page, Wikipedia, a single press report or only a headline. No money figures of any kind appear on these pages.

"Not found" on these pages means the research for this site did not find it. It never means the event does not exist. The FAI's own 2026 calendar could not be opened, so a 2026 FAI championship that was announced only there would not show up here.

The most recent champions, body by body

  • FAI World Drone Racing Championship: the most recent edition found is 2024 in Hangzhou, China, won by Yuki Hashimoto of Japan (FAI results page). See FAI World Championships.
  • The World Games: 2025 in Chengdu, China, gold to Yuki Hashimoto of Japan (FAI). The IWGA's confirmed programme for The World Games 2029, published 3 September 2026, does not include drone racing. See The World Games.
  • FAI Drone Racing World Cup: 2024 won by Minjae Kim of Korea (FAI report); the 2025 champion was not found; the 2026 season is still running. See the FAI World Cup.
  • MultiGP Championship: a MultiGP headline of 18 October 2026 says MCK won the 2026 Championship; that rests on the headline only (MultiGP's earlier results pair the handle MCK FPV with Minchan Kim). See MultiGP championships.
  • Drone Champions League: 2025 won by Raiden Racing (DCL); 2026 still running. See the Drone Champions League.

Names across different bodies

Several of the same pilot names appear in the results of the FAI, MultiGP, the DCL and TEKNOFEST. No body read for these pages confirms that a name in one body's results belongs to the same person as a matching name in another's, so these pages never say so. Each name is given as that body or source publishes it, and each body's titles stand on their own.

The Drone Racing League

The Drone Racing League (DRL) is a separate organiser from the Drone Champions League. Its last announced event found was a Miami race set for 1 February 2025. Wikipedia says the league is no longer active and that its assets were auctioned in 2026, but the sources Wikipedia cites were not read, so that is unconfirmed. See the Drone Racing League.

How to follow these events, from what each organiser says about its own streams, is on watching drone racing. How a race is run under the FAI's rules is on how a race works.
