Other races

Other international races: organisers' own events and their own titles.

Several organisers outside the FAI and MultiGP run international drone races and publish their own results. Their titles, such as World Drone Cup or World Cup, are the organisers' own, and none of them is an FAI title.

The events on this page are kept only where an organiser or a named report publishes a result. Each organiser runs its own rules and gives its own titles, and its results are never merged with the FAI's, MultiGP's or anyone else's. Pilots are named as each source spells them. The same names turn up across these tables and the FAI's and MultiGP's, but no body read for this site confirms that matching names belong to the same people.

The TEKNOFEST World Drone Cup (Turkiye)

The World Drone Cup is run within TEKNOFEST's technology competitions in Turkiye. TEKNOFEST's page says pilots must complete every stage of the TEKNOFEST Drone Championship to be eligible, and it does not mention the FAI. The winners below are as TEKNOFEST's own competition page lists them.

The 2026 row rests on a single press report, from Yeni Safak on 4 October 2026; TEKNOFEST's own page did not yet list 2026. TEKNOFEST scheduled the 2026 final from 30 September to 4 October at Sanliurfa Airport, during TEKNOFEST 2026 Sanliurfa, and the report gives 32 pilots and a final on 3 October.

The World Drone Cup is not the FAI World Cup round held in Istanbul, which the FAI's 2025 calendar lists as a separate FAI-sanctioned event on 6 and 7 September 2025.

The Seoul International Drone Racing World Cup (Korea)

The Korea Times describes this race at Gwangnaru Hangang Drone Park as organised by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Its 2026 edition, the second, was scheduled for 23 and 24 October 2026 with about 60 pilots from 10 countries expected. The article names no sanctioning body, so whether the 2026 race counted for the FAI World Cup is unconfirmed, and no 2026 result was found.

For the first edition, on 1 and 2 October 2025, a single Korean press report (Vegan News, 4 October 2025) gives the order as Kim Min-jae, Kim Min-chan, Choi Won-gyun and Lee Min-seo, all of South Korea. It gives the field as 67 pilots from 10 countries in its subtitle and about 60 in its text. The FAI's 2025 calendar lists a Seoul World Cup round at Hangang Drone Park from 30 September to 2 October; the report does not mention the FAI, so matching the two rests only on name, venue and dates.

The Games of the Future, Abu Dhabi 2025

The Games of the Future Abu Dhabi 2025 included a team discipline called Phygital Drone Racing at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi. According to the organiser's report of 22 December 2025, 16 clubs started and the final was a timed multi-lap race:

  1. Drone Racing One
  2. Team BDS, 21 seconds behind
  3. Team Heart of America
  4. Team Millenium

The organiser does not state the teams' nations. A press release distributed for the organiser, seen only as a search summary, gives the Games' dates as 18 to 23 December 2025 and describes a 50-lap final; another describes Phygital Drone Racing as one of 11 disciplines. Both are unconfirmed.

Listed, but with no results read

  • Sharjah, 2024: MultiGP's Pro Spec page lists the top three of an event it calls the "2024 Sharjah Drone Racing Champions" as Leviathann, MCK FPV and BanniUK. No organiser page for the Sharjah event was found, so who ran it is unconfirmed.
  • Military International Drone Racing Tournament, 2026: a search summary of the Australian Army's events page lists this tournament at Randwick Barracks from 12 to 14 March 2026. It is a single-sport military event, and no results were read.
  • National championships: a trade-press search summary says the Dutch championship selects the Dutch team for the FAI World Championship. That is unconfirmed, and a national championship is not a continental or world event.

Not found

No FAI continental drone racing championship was found for 2024, 2025 or 2026; see FAI World Championships. No drone racing event was found in search results about the programme of the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya (19 September to 4 October 2026), though the organiser's sport list was not opened, so that is not confirmed.

Earlier international races

Before the FAI's first World Championship in 2018, organisers ran their own international events. sUAS News reported that Luke Bannister, aged 15, won the World Drone Prix in Dubai in March 2016, and the Drone Sports Association billed its October 2016 event at Kualoa Ranch, Hawaii, as the "first-ever" Drone World Championships; that billing is the organiser's own. The story of those early events, and of who used the "world championship" label, is in the first races and the world championship claims.
